Who we are

Geekytek ("we", "us") is a Delaware-based IT service provider offering computer repair, network management, security & surveillance, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT consulting. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to www.geekytek.com and to Geekytek’s customer text-messaging program described in our SMS & Text Messaging Terms, not to services we deliver under a separate agreement.

Information we collect

Contact form submissions

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, phone number, email address, and message you choose to send. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.

Phone and email contact

If you call or email us, we keep the details you share only as long as needed to help you and maintain our service records.

Technical log data

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security monitoring and troubleshooting. This data is not used to identify or profile you.

Cookies & tracking

• This website sets no advertising cookies and uses no cross-site trackers.
• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first measurement tool. It counts page views without fingerprinting you, storing identifiers on your device, or following you across the web.
• Our contact and text sign-up forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people from bots. It runs a quick check in your browser that looks at details of your browser and device, and now and then it may ask you to tick a box. Cloudflare says it does not read or store what you type into the form. How Cloudflare handles the check data is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. The forms also run a small calculation in your browser, which collects nothing.
• Fonts, images, and site scripts are served from our own domain. The one outside service on the pages with our forms is Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads from Cloudflare only when you start filling in one of the forms.

How we use your information

• To respond to your questions and service requests.
• To schedule and deliver repairs, consultations, and IT services you ask for.
• To protect this website and our systems against abuse and automated attacks.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We share it only when required by law or with service providers strictly necessary to operate this site (such as our hosting provider), bound by confidentiality.

SMS & mobile information

If you provide a mobile phone number to receive service-related text messages (see our SMS & Text Messaging Terms), we use that number solely to operate the messaging program: a post-service check-in, a review request, and at most one reminder per completed job.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party. Information may be shared with our SMS delivery provider solely to the extent necessary to transmit the messages you consented to receive.

YouTube & Google data

Geekytek runs its own YouTube channel, and we use YouTube API Services (the tools Google provides so software can work with YouTube) to manage it. Our YouTube tools are used only by Geekytek staff, and they only connect to Geekytek’s own channel. They never connect to your YouTube account, and they don’t collect anything about the people who watch our videos.

Here’s exactly what those tools handle:

• What they access: the videos we upload to our channel, with their titles, descriptions, tags, and publish settings, plus our channel’s name.
• What they store: the details of each video we upload (title, description, tags, upload status, and its YouTube video ID), kept in a database on a Geekytek computer. We don’t store viewers’ names, comments, or account details.
• Who we share it with: nobody. We don’t sell this information or pass it to advertisers.
• Cookies and your device: our YouTube tools don’t place, read, or recognize cookies or any other data on your device.

By using any Geekytek tool that uses YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s own handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

If you ever sign in to one of our YouTube tools with a Google account, you can remove its access at any time on Google’s security settings page. To have us delete data stored by our YouTube tools, call us during business hours or use the contact form on our Contact page, and we’ll delete it within 7 days.

Data retention

We keep inquiry correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.

Your choices & rights

• You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• You may ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.
• Contacting us is always optional, and you can browse this entire website without providing any personal information.

Security

This site enforces a strict Content Security Policy, serves all traffic over HTTPS, and shields published contact details from automated harvesting. No security measure is perfect, but we design for a zero-trust posture at every layer.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
